⚠️Social Madia Alert⚠️
Please note that some facilities in Berg en dal are without power. The ESKOM transformers fuse has malfunctioned once more following the departure of ESKOM personnel who had come to fix it after it failed this afternoon.
Without the mini-substation, the generator is unable to support the entire camp. Consequently, both the camping site and staff residences will experience a power outage this evening. Units 70 through 82 will also be impacted. The rest of the units are not affected by the outage.
Assistance will be sought starting tomorrow morning once again. Please be patient with us as this is an issue only Eskom can rectify.

⚠️Update on Berg-en-Dal Electrical Repair ⚠️
Kruger National Park Management is pleased to inform our valued guests that our service provider team from MET successfully identified and addressed the electrical malfunction. The issue was located along the power line servicing the camping area and units 70 to 92. Our efforts required excavation to access the affected cable, which was accomplished with the help of our dedicated local workforce.
To rectify the problem, we installed two new joints, effectively eliminating the damaged sections of the cable. As a result, electrical service has been momentarily restored via our generator just a short while ago. However, we are currently awaiting ESKOM's intervention to replace the fuses that failed last night.
We thank you all for your patience while we deal with this issue.
Word of appreciation to the support services, esp. Jimmy and Linda!
