hi Richprin

The water lettuce invader problem was big but only in the side pools. the majority of the river flood channels were very clean.

Thanks so much for sharing this trip report! :-)

South Luangwa has been high on our priority list to visit for ages. Always seems when I look into it that the logistics would be more difficult due to the need to book a hire vehicle. However it seems on searching that it is quite possible to hire a vehicle in Mfuwe so that would be my preferred option. Just spent some time looking at Wildlife Camp....looks fantastic. With our stronger currency it is doable...more expensive as no Wild Card type option but....we're in.

Either September next year or 2016. O\/

You have given us the inspiration to go somewhere new. Thank you. O0

Now, more photos please. ^Q^

Hi mouseinthehouse

Glad you enjoying the report. It still one of the few parks that have not really been disturbed. Like anywhere there are quite a lot of game viewing vehicles in the park early and night drives but they strictly adhere to the 3 vehicle at a sighting rule. they also do not go to far north due to time constraint therefore if you use hire vehicle you can really get away on your own.

Yes no wild card so it is a daily entry that lasts 24 hours.

There are quite a large selection from an accommodation point of view and if my memory serves me correctly there are only 2 lodges actually inside the park itself the rest are just outside the park in the game concentration area but remember no fences so game goes everywhere even town.
