Welcome to the club Amoli! Have fun with your new toy
Remember to rest the lens on a beanbag as much as possible, otherwise, use a shutter speed equal to or greater than the focal length you are using - you can get away with using a slower shutter speed when using IS/VS or whatever the call anti-shake but a Shutter speed=Fl is a good rule of thumb!.

Nice Amoli... as BT says, welcome to the club
I've got exactly the same setup as you. Takes a bit of time to get used to, but the practise pays off. This was a highlight from today and I was very pleased with the lens & camera performance
Looking forward to hearing how you get on with it and seeing some of your shots.

- all still very confusing. I think I will get used to the lens ... easy - also switched from AF to MF rather quickly (for a first timer).
It will be the body that I need to get used to - I like the on/off switch and that I can no longer change my settings by switching the camera on or off.
Eeeeek - very excited.

Good luck trying to focus and zoom at the same timeAmoli wrote:- also switched from AF to MF rather quickly (for a first timer).
Try back-button focusing, it's the only way to go!
I'm currently composing a new topic about another way of shooting action pictures.... watch this space.

Re: Tamron 150-600 Review
Does anyone know how the tamron 150-600 compares to the sigma 150-600 Contemporary?
I am able to get the Sigma fairly cheaper and everything states that it doesn't matter that much, but am still not hundred percent certain.
i.e. the price difference is over R3000 = 200 euro so is the tamron actually better or not? I know the sigma has the docking system which surely is positive.
