Very nice Sparky, and the roller looks remarkably like a B2 bomber!
Interesting the difference between Mr and Mrs...never knew that!

Then you have not watched my TT from last year very closely, there were pics of them at least twice

Re: Grietjie Private Reserve
Thank you all, once again.
It is now really dry and the weather is slowly changing. Lot's of the normal August winds, which changes the weather on a daily basis.
This first shot is from my stoep, looking to the other side of the river. Elephants are becoming a problem for some people, as they destroy water tanks, pipes and gardens in search of food and water. This is what it looks like across the river...
A Jackal using the long dry grass to conceal himself from possible prey...
One for Richwit, a B2 Bomber waiting for the following mission instructions...
Even the Zebra are blending in with the dry grass...
More on the way...

Re: Grietjie Private Reserve
This next little one really tested my patience. It sat dead still deep in a bush, but I waited until it moved. It then perched on a branch right next to me, in the open. Not often that you get to have a Golden-breasted Bunting so close, in clear view...
This Yellow-billed Hornbill was also relaxed and close...
Everything seemed relaxed today, even this Zebra didn't bother moving when I stopped next to it...
Here is a pic of it's snout while feeding...
Until next time, from the banks of the Olifants...

Some really good shots, Sprotjie!
Aha, another B2!
The left eye of the zebra is very special!
What property is on the other side of the river?
