Canon 7D mark II

Post by nan »

Is there anyone who knows this camera ?

my "old" 500D is a bit tired... and I was thinking of a new one
I already have a 7D, but it seems the mark II is faster... and... and...

what do you think ?

Nan

Not a bad camera, but I see on FB under Canon Photographers in South Africa .People are having problems with lens compatibility. They complaining about the quality and sharpness of there photo's.

Reading what they saying, looks like they don't have a clue what they doing that's why. Sounds like it can be a difficult camera to operate like the 5D, so if you not sure of using different focus points and settings for the autofocus it could become a problem.

These guys are action sport photographers, motor Racing and sport where you need a high shutter speed, then they using IS with high shutter speed 0*\ 0*\ .This is a major problem with the new lens 100-400mk11 as the IS is state of the art and it is blurring the photo. =O: =O:

Nan: low light and speed I believe it is nearly on par with the 5D, but is not full frame which in some cases is a advantage, Suggest try and get hold of one and test it before deciding \O

Nan there is a huge difference between the 5DMK11 and MK111 and if you not familiar with setting the autofocus and focus points , you could have a problem -O-

Both the 7D MKII and the 100-400 MF II are excellent. Many customise settings available for the camera you just need to get the settings right to what suits you best. Look at our photos from trip report titled "Both sides of Capricorn" Most of these were taken with the 7D MK II with either the 100-400 MK II lens or the canon 300 f/2.8 MK II lens. This European Roller was taken two weeks ago by Sharifa with the 7d MKII and 100-400MK II

superb photos... both the Roller and the Black Eagle :-0

you use it "only" with the new 100-400 MK II
or is it still compatible with the "normal" 100/400 ?

thank you Duke

nan, no problem using with the old 100-400.

Ernest uses the old Canon 400 f/5.6 lens with his 7D MK II :-)

It's great to have these Camera's, but not great if you don't know how to use them, then you can just as well go to a Point and shoot. 0-
