Behaviour at sightings was generally fine this weekend. In fact maybe people are overdoing the correctness a bit! lol
But the south was very busy! 0:

Generally protocol is that one can make two columns on the sighting side, if the road is wide enough, and other traffic can pass through on the"outside lane". O:V

OSV's are increasing. There is a whole fleet standing at Skukuza waiting for the hotel and community initiatives to be ready. SanParks will run those themselves, though, which may drive some privates out of business? -O-

They are only a real overload up to about Tshokwane, though. Really just South.

Spot the animals! lol

As I said, it looks worse than it actually is, sometimes. One thing that I forgot to mention is that there was a SANParks traffic vehicle at ALL the major sightings roadblocks...maybe they listen in on the OSV radios? \O \O \O \O

As long as they know how to handle a congestion, it is a good thing

SP always say that OSV's don't get any preferences at gates..........

We arrived at Kruger gate on Thursday 5:10am. We were the third car in the que. About 5 minutes after that the first OSV arrived and went past us to the front. 5 minutes after that the second one arrived from the same company and parked behind his friend. They both got out and walked to the person in charge at the gate. Then they hopped back into their vehicles and the guy opened the gate. They both went through. When they eventually opened the gate at 5:30 and we could drive to the main gate and reception both those OSV's were not seen anywhere.

So how can they go through and start driving around while we must wait outside??

Next trip to the bush??

Let me think......................
