while visiting my brother who lives in johannesburg recently he unearthed a book that belonged to his mother (he is my brother from a different mother and father
)this book was published in 1940 - according to the forward by Colonel James Stevenson-Hamilton, who was also the editor.
in the olden days people used to collect "cigarette picture cards" that were in the cigarette packs,
and then buy the book that was relevant to the subject of the cards being collected and paste the cards into the books
the subjects were varied and plentiful ranging from wildlife to fauna and flora to motor cars and sailing ships
although the title of this book is "Our South African National Parks"
it deals mainly with the kruger, as mentioned in the forward.
enjoy reading the book and seeing all the wonderful animals
next chapter to follow.....

) It was only by coincidence that Mr. Kruger was the president of SA.
