Re: Springbok
They wouldn't do well in Kruger apart from the Northern Basalt plains ...In Botswana in the Kalahari its 100 % Springbok /No Impala ... By the time you go North and get Maun area its Impala and no Springbok but in Nxai Pan north of Magadigadi pans you get both together

WildlifeWednesday: The bouncy Springbok for WorldAnimalDay
For World Animal Day, we are honouring our country's national mascot - the bouncy Springbok - for #WildlifeWednesday.
Footage courtesy of Siyaya - Come wild with us.
The Springbok is South Africa's national animal, an antelope with large populations in our game reserves with little threat to the species.
They are not found in Kruger National Park, but are indigenous inhabitants of the Kgalagadi Transfrontier Park, which spans over South Africa and Botswana.
They love to show off by jumping up to two metres in the air with consecutive leaps, which helps them evade predators and communicate with other springbok.
Springboks breed throughout the year, depending on food supply and climate conditions. It takes 24 weeks for a springbok to be born.
These antelopes are also the symbol of South Africa’s rugby team, making us very fond of these bouncy critters.
World Animal Day falls on the day of Francis of Assisi, the patron saint of animals. The day creates awareness around the welfare of animals and efforts to elevate animal rights
