Fishing

Post by Alf »

Not sure where to post this.

Is fishing permitted inside this park? While we were there last week we saw plenty fishermen inside the park along the coastline. Some days even saw the SP vehicle driving along the beach passing these fishermen but without even stopping.

So my question; is this another national park where they have opened it for fishing?

We have even found a small shark on the beach (dead) with a fishing hook still in his mouth. Some fishermen obviously saw it was a shark and cut the line...... O/ he never survived. O/

Next trip to the bush??

Let me think......................

I think fishing has to be dealt with in terms of MPA rather than SANParks and there might be a system of permits and no-take zones -O-

Pretty sure recreational fishing is allowed, Alf!

It was also allowed in Tsitsikamma from the beginning, not sure if it still is?

Commercial fishing is very different!
