28th August 2015 - Day 7: Skukuza

All indicators, in our opinion, were pointing to Wild Dogs being on the Kruger Gate road, so this was the agreed morning drive

Image

And we were in luck, the pack was running on the road and there were only 3 cars there

There was lots of sniffing and smelling going on

And some dung rolling

We spotted the dog that had been caught in a snare a week earlier (as we were told by one of the KNP staff who drove past) and it looked to be healing well and was running along with the rest of the pack.

28th August 2015 - Day 7: Skukuza (Part 2)

After a quick stop at Kruger Gate we headed back to Skukuza, with a stop at Lake Panic along the way, it had been closed for repairs and no one was there, something we did not know.

Lucky for us a Game Warden arrived and opened up for us and we the first ones in and had the newly refurbished hide to ourselves.

There were lots of birds to see

And a Bushbuck.

As it was still before 09h00, we took a drive down the H4-1 to Nkuhlu.

Image

About half way down to the bridge we spotted a Leopard heading down to the river

And then a half spotted / half brown Hyena  =O:
