How lovely, no rush to reach our destination this time.
We chose to have a relaxing trip and pop into all the smaller coastal towns along the coastline, instead of heading straight out on the N2.
It was a beautiful day when we left and we immediately felt relaxed, our first overnight stop would be Gansbaai. O/\

Sea view on our way out. The sea has a magic all its own never the same and the colors can be so beautiful.

Gansbaai sea view, beautiful mountains in the background and small cosy beach as well. O:V

Mongoose was also out and about on one of the small roads and allowed 2 photos before disappearing into the bushes

On one of the roads, on an open lot someone had made this plant holder out of shells, I thought it was pretty neat idea. All the plants were succulents so little or no watering needed. They had also on a tree an array of bird feeders and bottles of sugar water for the sunbirds.

Image

Grey bird no idea what it is? But looked like a pretty fluff ball, maybe a shriek of sorts -O-
I am still trying to learn all the birds names 0*\ So if you see more of these in the TT as we go along and can id for me I will be most grateful. O0

Harbour fishing boats

Crayfish cages :-?

Fishing trawler coming in after a day’s catch...Someone would be having fish for supper.

Bulbul sitting pretty for a pic

While waiting for the sun to set, I accidently pressed the delete button , on my camera….horror of horrors!!!! 0- I did not throw a hissy fit but took it all in my stride. O** After all the memory of those photos are etched in my memory.

Sunset from our accommodation for the night.

The next day we would be heading further along our journey….

AN :-0 So interesting to see something different for the a) rushed people from abroad who have their bookings somewhere more prominent (aka tourism stuff kinda things)
or b) who's mind is actually set one a specific location (but who are still open minded enough to enjoy views of the rest of the country)

I love the first pic, but the mongoose stole my heart 0/0
