Re: Mist + sea = Witsand!
With this last episode our stay comes to an end
The mist had cleared and we set off on our return journey back to the concrete jungle
In the farm lands we spotted more Blue Cranes
Up next was this cute Steenbokkie
Driving through Hermanus we noticed they have a lot of 'new residents' who also seem to like the seaside holiday homes!
Driving on the outskirts of Hermanus we spotted this dam with two Fish Eagles
Stopping on the side of the road we just caught these two trying to be discreet behind the bushes
Not a good photo but a first for us! - They did not even give me a chance to try and move into a better spot
to take a photo
They just flew away so quickly!
In the next dorpie/small town we had another resident who was rather comfortable on the roof of the
Pitzza Restaurant Stuffed cheeks and all
Was getting ready to take a photo of the sand dune when the Mongoose came out, did not even give me time to zoom in
Look carefully you may spot it
View of the beach at Hangklip
Thank you everyone for you company at Witsand through this TT
Was great reading your comments and maybe it has inspired some of you to pay it a visit sometime!
The End

Excellent, A-N!
I laughed at that baboon in larney accommodation!
Very rare fish eagle "business" !!
Those cranes creep me out a bit, for some reason...
Interesting no vegetation on hangklip?
Thanks very much for this!

Re: Mist + sea = Witsand!
I am having a problem with this photo..............It cannot be snow
Being the National Bird of SA there are not that many blue cranes around the country
It was a great pleasure to follow you along the coast. I think that the coastal part is the one that I prefer of South Africa Thanks a lot AN, some well known places, but also some new ones
