Taken on my own early in the morning @ Kij Kij waterhole 10 kms North of Rooiputs before the crowds arrive..Sun had been up for 10 mins already so I used some Daytime Flash to get a glint in the Eye and for this I used a powerful flash >> The Sun ..all you need for Daytime Flash >> This needs a Click to see the desert sunrise colours >> Camera Nikon D850, Lens Tamron 150-600 f5 - 6.3 @ f6 @340mm @ 1/500th Sec @ ISO 160 @ Manual Everything

PW, your roaring king needs a click ;-) You must say so, just like Peter Betts does, because it is really another picture when you see it in the right light \O

Early Morning Christmas 3 yrs ago made me long for Rooiputs this morning ..Best Covid Self Isolate location on earth. Nice and early into the River Bed 10 Mins before actual sunrise..With a slowish lens e the requirement was to have a Full frame Hi Res Sensor and ISO pushed to just above 500 on my previous DSLR ..couldnt go higher because of Noise possibilities. Cant wait to ram up the ISO on my now Mirrorless camera which can cope with 10 x higher ISO's with ease.
Camera: Nikon D850, Lens Tamron 150-600 f5-6.3 @ 340mm @F6 , ISO 640, 1/500Sec Manual everything resting on a 5 kg Bean Bag > Location 'Parking Lot' next to Rooiputs Drinking trough...I enjoy this pre sunrise ambient light>> very natural and no shadows without direct sun..Really needs a Click as it was darkish at that time of day
