Great ostrich pic!! And the scenery in lovely but I can imagine that coming all the way from the UK you want to see more than impalas and warthogs!

Yeah, I was really annoyed. But nothing I could do.Flutterby wrote:Great ostrich pic!! And the scenery in lovely but I can imagine that coming all the way from the UK you want to see more than impalas and warthogs!
Except never go there again.
But I must say, the accomodation was good. And the unit had a small private plunge pool. So the kids enjoyed it. We went with my sisters family, so the cousins spent time together, which is also important. I think everyone was happy, except me who got into a darker and darker mood as each game drive went by.

Even in Kruger, if I have a slow drive, I see it as opportunity missed.
I am only there for a limited number of days, so I want each drive to be special!
So this place was just.....
Yup, poor me.nan wrote:poor Dzombo

Actually this rather dull wildlife experience did give rise to my first visit to Kruger in 6 years.
So, after spending 2 weeks in Jhb (including the trip to Mabalingwe), we flew down to Cape Town to join the SO's family who were also visiting from the UK.
I was moaning and complaining about how dissapointed I was with Mabalingwe yadda yadda yadda. To which my Mother-In-Law says, "when are you going to take me and F.I.L to Kruger?". And so that trip was born.......
