Re: Sprocky's visits to Kruger Park
Once again, thanks to all of you!!!
This morning I headed for Mopani to meet up with flying cheetah.
First a few pics on the way there...
I stopped at every herd of Impala, but no new borns in this area yet. At the turn off to Mooiplaas I got this Martial...
At Shipandani I saw this little Water Monitor...
And on the opposite side of the causeway were these two young Hippo testing the french kissing techniques...
When I arrived at Mopani I was a bit early, so headed straight for FC's accommodation, he had just returned from his morning drive,...and was a bit startled to see me standing there. We sat and enjoyed a cold one, then I had a plan.
I phoned my buddy Rodger at Tsendze and asked if we could pop in for a visit. He was as happy as a....
After a quick stop at Mopani shop for a few more cold ones and some air time for Rodger, we pulled in at Tsendze. FC loved the place and Rodger was once again the perfect host. He took us for a walk, in the serious heat, to find Owls. We managed to spot three species, but I could only photograph two.
Here they are, first an African Barred Owlet...
And an African Scops Owl...
I didn't get a pic of the Pearl-spotted Owlet, but we saw and heard it. It was great meeting up with you again FC, hopefully I will see you again before you head back to Europe.

Sometimes it’s not until you don’t see what you want to see, that you truly open your eyes.

You sure had a great day in the park today Sprocky. Seriously green with your Barred Owl.
Hope FC is having some luck with sightings as well.

Very nice...
What an amazing pic of the Martial - love his one leg on another branch - kindda like an attitude...
and your 'little' monster is little big but beautiful.
You're a great ambassador doing a super job
