A late, short afternoon drive to the Confluence Lookout proved much more fruitful than the morning drive. We spotted an Elephant on the opposite cliff, it seemed to be looking for a way down to the water. I quickly moved into a better position and then the whole herd was there, all looking for a way down. Once the first one plucked up the courage, the fun started...
Some went down straight, some sideways and some backwards...
This sighting needed to be captured on video, photos don't give the intensity of the descent. This little one came down at speed in a dust cloud...
A few of them were still nervous to attempt it...
And some of them just lost their footing and slid down...
