If you listen to the Jacaranda interview, he agrees there were leopard kill marks.

Says the Media Specialist who sits in an office far away from the scene and the people involved lol

Everything is hearsay on all fronts.

I would love to see Trevor Noah take on that Jacaranda interview. The folk in the studio were already almost in stitches! 0()

Really????
I think not enough fuss is being made in the "right" places....or maybe there is?

IMO it's just another indication how far SANP are from what their actual remit is - conservation
Agree 100% with you Dzombo \O SANParks are more concerned about the people serounding KNP, who don't contribute towards any concervation and just sit around looking for what they can get for free, than about the park and the conservation of it. 0=

KTP: Twee Rivieren 12 to 13 May
KNP: May be one day again??

Absolutely.
The problem is it’s a balancing act.

Get hold of a copy of

It shows the situation and attitudes quite clearly

Obviously there is no witness who has seen how the impala was killed or has died.

The couple comes up with two different stories:
Latest Sightings - Kruger
We were watching a leopard killing an impala in the middle of the road on the H7 this weekend. The Leopard got a bit of a fright and ran away from the road.
While we were waiting for the Leopard to return to the kill, a group of people came and took the impala away in their car.

Lowvelder

According to Yvonne Breytenbach, whose husband Martin took the video on Saturday, they came across the dead impala at around 12:00 close to Satara.

She said that they asked another visitor who was standing by the carcass what had happened. The visitor told them that the impala had just been killed by a leopard and that everyone was waiting for the leopard to return to claim its kill.

The Breytenbachs proceeded to switch off their engine and wait for the leopard to return.

“Suddenly we saw a taxi passing all the cars which were waiting for the leopard. The taxi stopped next to the carcass of the impala. A man got out of the taxi and kicked the buck. At that point my husband started taking the video,” Yvonne explained.

I consider this untrustworthy witnesses.

The statement about the bite marks comes from another visitor. Do we know that this a reliable source???

There is another visitor who comes up with a different "observation"

The only interesting part of this is, why park staff picks up what they think is a roadkill. And even this is not the most relevant problem of conservation or PA management.

Noah is also working on hearsay, like the "media specialist"... lol

This is nonsense.

Watch tomorrow - lots of storms in lots of teacups not least of all on the Zululand coast. NOT a storm in a teacup and the SP media controller had a lot to say about this. 0()
