Hi folks,
eight weeks later I sadly got no answer from Duwisib. So I finally decided for Homopus femoralis (Karoo Padloper). Maybe I'm right, maybe not, we 'll never know.
Greetings and enjoy your weekend.

Re: Turtles & Tortoise Identification
0/* Thank you for your efforts. It's really exciting. Looks like 4 claws, so it would be a Homopus femoralis. To terminate all doubts I will try to contact somebody right there. I will let you know, if I get an answer. But now it's time for two holiday weeks O\/ - so I'm gone for a while. Greetings ...

Re: Turtles & Tortoise Identification
Hi folks, first of all: I don't wanna drive you crazy. lol I absolutely agree that it's a padloper, but I'm not sure which one. :-? Re: Turtles & Tortoise Identification
This choice comes much closer than the Leopard Tortoise.
I just found another picture of the same animal - not in motion, but better quality. Next time, I will clean it before taking a photo!

Re: Insect or Invertebrates Identification
I'm not sure sure about the length. As I can remember it was shorter than 50 mm - maybe 25 - 35 mm? :-? Could it be a be younger one, so the body is less structured but still quite flat/polished? I'm wondering about the location, too. It was sitting on a big stone on the top of the mountain. Maybe ...

Re: Turtles & Tortoise Identification
Hi folks, last but not least I saw this Land Tortoise, maybe a member of the family Testudinidae, inside the Duwisib Castle in SW-Namibia. So maybe it's not common there, rather it's a pet. DSC_0256 Forum.JPG What do you think? Any ideas about the species? Thanks for your help once again. Greetings ...

Re: Insect or Invertebrates Identification
Hi everybody, 0/* here is some kind of Dung Beetle. Can anybody tell me the exact species please? DSC_0241 - Forum.JPG It's quite similar to a Giant Flattened Dung Beetle (Pachylomera femoralis), but less structured. It was spotted at the top of the Waterberg Plateau Park in Namibia in June. Thanks ...

Re: Lizard Identification
Thanks to Lisbeth and Klipspringer!
After two more hours surfing the net I finally decide for: Ground Agama (Agama aculeata).
One more done.
