Yours are very shy Lis. The ones we get here are extremely tame.

Continental Robins are shy forest dwellers. Ours have learnt to come into gardens for free feeds. When we get an influx of Robins from the continent, they are always shy & secretive.

Just over the bridge, we turned onto the Lamont Loop and a few hundred metres up the track, found this slithering across the road.

A great white egret fishes the shallows for dinner. Mottled spinetails flutter overhead.

This is just like being on the bridge. You have the place all to yourself for ages, then everyone turns up at the same time and the place is packed.
