Re: Prowling the KNP - A Photo-Journal

Part 2 of this epic is from April 2010. Unfortunately we had car problems and we spent the whole trip expecting a horrible noise to become terminal. Luckily it didn't break down but it didn't make for a relaxing trip. This first picture was taken just outside Nelspruit so isn't really a KNP shot. It...

Re: Prowling the KNP - A Photo-Journal

Thanks again, The Zebra & foal and the Elephant in the sunset are two of my favourites from this trip. Here are the last few from November 2009. An Impala lamb, the only one we saw during the trip. http://i1233.photobucket.com/albums/ff388/BluTuna/200911%20KNP/20091113-060148-img0011copy.jpg A B...

Prowling the KNP - A Photo-Journal *

Hi all, Firstly, thanks to Flutterby for revealing the existence of this site and inviting me to join. As the TR section seems to be a bit short of items, I thought I'd provide an alternative to the "Browns' in the KNP" (ad-nauseum ;) ) threads by sharing some of the pictures I took during...

Re: Tuskers of Kruger

Hi Aat, We are in the KNP at the moment (my live TR - Three Weeks in Paradise). Yesterday we met up with Machachule on the S50 a short distance from Shingwedzi and I managed to get these pictures of him. http://i1233.photobucket.com/albums/ff388/BluTuna/TT201204/KNP-20120430-160559-DSC_0198.jpg http...

Re: Essential Camping Equipment

The ideal thing for banging in tent pegs is a nylon panelbeater's hammer. They are made of heavy duty nylon with a lead weight in the head and they last forever - I've had mine for about 20 years. Thor's tentpeg hammer! About 30cm long and weighing in at just over 1Kg. http://i1233.photobucket.com/a...
