Re: Browns in Kruger October 2017
Wow!! Multiple Lion sightings, super-close Leopard, and then a Cheetah on a kill right near LS?? This is unbelievable. ^Q^ O/\ We drove the H4-1 many times in August and only managed some distant Lions. You sure had a great morning on this road with kitty-cat sightings! \O :-0 ...but will you be abl...

Re: In Search of Some Good "Spots"
Saturday 26th August - Delaporte Day! continued... At this point in time I have to tell a story. Its a story told only in words. And its a story of unfathomable stupidity. So, if you are totally over the crazy antics of tourists in southern Kruger then I suggest you log out and come back to this TT...

Yes it was a fantastic day! And for the 'Big Five' chasers it was our first and only Big Five Day of the trip.Mel wrote:Oh, poor little things![]()
But Delaporte Day was otherwise really productive in terms of sightingsNice combo with the rhinos and the lions, too

Re: Browns in Kruger October 2017
My last comment was also lost BC, but your standard of photography continues to be high! \O Cheetah cameos are a real bonus. :-0 The drought is over! O\/ O\/ Well done focusing on the Leopard in the bush. That can be a tough situation for autofocus. I assume it was a male? Great Lion sightings in th...

Re: JUNE IS BUSTING OUT ALL OVER
Hey STF! 0/* When you are at Satara you should check out the Hyena den 3km north of camp on the H1-4. They use the drain pipe under the road. The best thing about it is its proximity to Satara. You can stay there until 5 mins before gate closing then cruise back to camp. The cubs and babysitters wer...

Re: In Search of Some Good "Spots"
Hi all. 0/* Thanks for chiming in. Regarding the Lions with mange, as Bushcraft said they were/are part of the Lubyelubye pride. We are pretty sure they went to meet the pride on our last day in Kruger, and certainly a week later I saw pictures online of the cubs amongst the pride. The cubs appear t...

Re: Browns in Kruger October 2017
This is terrible BC. How are you supposed to find Leopards when you are constantly having to stop for pesky Lions??
Great pics of the Lioness on the road, and that last shot of the male Lion is a real stunner.
Klipspringer is always a special sighting in my opinion.

Saturday 26th August - Delaporte Day! continued... We gathered in the carpark at Lower Sabie for our first ever Sunset Drive. And what a lovely experience it was! We got that rare combination you always dream about on guided drives: good weather, good wildlife, and good company! ^Q^ We were pleasan...

Re: Browns in Kruger October 2017
Wow! Now the Leopards are coming to you.
I think the baboon might have eaten some fermented fruit by mistake.
We also encountered some of those speedsters on the H4-1 and wondered how much carnage they are responsible for??
