110% but unfortunately in SA the occupations that used to be undertaken for the passion and enjoyment are now being filled by those who just want a job and sadly most of them are readily accepted without too many checks just because they meet a certain demographic requirement

A SANparks employee and three others were nabbed red-handed in the Kruger National Park with rhino horns and rifles on Friday.
MBOMBELA – According to police spokesman Mtsholi Bhembe, SANparks officials, Rangers and Protection Services as well as members of the police caught four men aged between 47 and 23 in the Kruger National Park (KNP).
SANparks officials received information about the four suspects who were reportedly about to exit the park, traveling in two vehicles.
They (officials) pounced on them, with the assistance of a SANparks chopper that had to land on the road in order to blockade the fleeing men’s vehicles.
The men, amongst them a SANparks employee, were searched. The following items were found in their possession, a freshly cut set of rhino horns, a hunting rifle and ammunition.
They were immediately arrested with all the exhibits, including the two vehicles being confiscated.
The suspects will appear at the Bushbuckridge Magistrate’s Court on Monday, facing charges of illegal hunting, possession of a hunting rifle and ammunition without a licence as well as trespassing charges.
Meanwhile another two men aged 36 and 31 will appear at the Hendrina Magistrate’s Court on the same Monday, facing charges of possession of a firearm as well as ammunition without a licence.
During a routine police stop and search operation, the suspects were found in possession of a revolver, a toy pistol and ammunition. The pair, found walking on the street, were surprised by police and attempted to flee, but it was too late for them.

The Mpumalanga police commissioner Lt Gen Mondli Zuma applauded the teams and urged each and every law enforcement officer in the province to always be cautious in order to remove the rotten elements from society.

Two field ranger arrested in the Kruger National Park
This brings the total number of arrests to eighteen.
The South African National Parks (SANParks) yesterday announced the arrest of two Skukuza based field rangers on suspicion of being involved in rhino poaching.
On Tuesday, KNP Rangers conducting anti-poaching operations in the south of the park arrested two SANParks Field Ranger colleagues for alleged involvement in poaching activities. During the arrest supported by the SAPS, a heavy calibre firearm, ammunition and poaching related equipment was confiscated. Both suspects were taken into custody at the Skukuza Police Station and will appear in Court in due course.
These arrests follow closely on a number of successful operations carried out by rangers and supported by SAPS in the park during the past eleven days. On February 15, four suspected poachers, including a SANParks official were arrested in the Skukuza section. During this arrest a firearm and set of rhino horns were recovered during the operation. A further twelve suspected poachers were arrested and four firearms along with ammunition and poaching related equipment recovered in various operations in the south of the park, thus bringing the total number of arrests to eighteen and six firearms recovered for the above mentioned period.
The Managing Executive of the KNP, Glenn Phillips congratulated all those who were involved in the arrests and reiterated his warning that the organisation will not tolerate illegal activities in The Kruger National Park especially from its own staff. “It is immensely disheartening for the rangers and other law enforcement officials when they have to arrest their own colleagues.
We are appealing to our colleagues to stop embarrassing the organisation, their colleagues , friends and family, we want them to know that we are on the heels of these criminals masquerading as rangers, it is time to come clean and help us uproot those criminal elements in our ranger corps” concluded Phillips.
