interesting reading that old permit with the midday siesta times for entrance gates and reception.....
also the shop hours and liquor restrictions....
i was sad to see that rule no. 10 has been emitted from the latest version of the permit
that was re-issued just this year....
the latest permit also says that we may "stray on the roads"
the future is not what it used to be

We were invited by the National Parks Board executive (My Uncle was a long term member )to go to this new camp Olifants in about 1960 I guess and have a weekend there on the house with them the week before it opened to the public ..I was about 9 yrs old ..I have a Black & White Pic of me standing in front (Illegally of course ) the new gate ..My Mom took it ..Will look for it
