Since I have never ventured this route alone your input will be much appreciated.
Which gate would you recommend - taking in consideration road conditions/safety? Destination - Shingwedzi
1. Pafuri - N1 / R525 (I would like a visit to Crooks Corner and Pafuri ps hence my choice of route)
2. Punda Maria - N1 / R524
Any other advice?

Re: BEST ROUTE - PAFURI/PUNDA MARIA GATE
Take the northern route via N1 - R525 through Pafuri gate . Its a very nice pleasant drive , and the road is not so busy .
Have a stop at Pafuri picnic spot , speak to Frank Mabasa about the birds , and enjoy a pleasant drive along the Levhuvhu river to Crook's

Re: BEST ROUTE - PAFURI/PUNDA MARIA GATE
Last time when we have entered Pafuri gate the road were still damaged due to floods and there was a detour about 20km just before the gate if I remember correctly. But it's still fine to drive the short detour. The rest of the road were fine
Next trip to the bush??

Picked up rather late on this one,..have you left as yet?
Person alone,..? specially female, not recommended to
use the Thoyohandou route, R524, not pleasant at all!!
Rather waste some more time at traveling and far more
scenic, using the R525.
