Understandable! The beginning of the "blame the servants to cover your own tracks" industry in South Africa, which still continues proudly! Francois was obviously eyeing Verreaux's daughter by that stage!

Violet-Backed Starling

Now the problem started here because no human being can pronounce the Latin name: Cinnyricinclus leucogaster

The proper name, Plum-coloured Starling, was also too descriptive, and Verreaux was clearly getting too much exposure, and Levaillant was up to his tricks in some remote corner of the globe.

So this is when the female birdwatchers became involved...

Mrs Julius Caesar: "This is an emergencia! They cannotta pronounca the latin!"

Cleopatra: "«▓┼▒"

Mrs Julius Caesar: "Whatta you saya!?"

Cleopatra: "«▓┼▒!"

Mrs Julius Caesar: "Speaka de language, for Juno's sake!"

Cleopatra: "Ok! the only starlings I know are black and nasty!"

Mrs Julius Caesar: "Allrighta! We calla it the violent black starling!"

Cleopatra: "Good! Hope nothing get's lost in translation! \O "
