This is a long and sometimes featureless road built as a connecting route, so can sometimes be empty and boring. On the other hand virtually any animal can make an appearance, barring rhino, especially including rare antelope. It is the best road for roan and eland, with even a small chance of Liechtenstein's Hartebeest.

The southern half passes through endless scrub mopane, while north of Babalala vegetation becomes more mixed as it follows the Shisha stream.
