I find there is huge inconsistency with regards to traffic jams at predator sightings.

On one trip there were doggies on the H7. One or two cars. Everyone behaving. Spending a few mins at the sighting and then driving off.
And similarly with a Leopard on the H4-2.

On the other hand......
One of my worst was mayhem on the H12. Apparently there was a Leopard that had been seen. But it was long gone. But there was total chaos. Road blocked, irate drivers
And a similar experience north of Tschokwane.

We've found that a lot of people are not really interested in wild dogs. :-? At almost all the sightings we've had a lot of people will slow down and then drive off. -O-

 we had exactly the same especially if they sleeping or resting .We sat at one WD sighting in between Orpen and Satara for 3 hours one day and hundreds drove up stopped and left . Eventually the rest of the pack appeared out the bushes and they all got up and greeted each other and the 3 hours wait was worth every minute . Think the problem is that the modern lifestyle demands instant gratification and old style patience is not taught anywhere .

Along the same vein -Saw a post from a couple staying long term in the park about OSV's calling on the radio today at a leopard cub sighting and within minutes the place was crawling with OSV's .Glad to say the gentleman concerned notified the driver who he saw radioing (with much arguments from him) and reported it using the numbers on the vehicle -not that anything gets done about it but at least he follows through on protocols .

The OSVs came to my mind at a museum yesterday.....If there is a group in front of a painting you can also wait for 10 minutes before you manage to be able to see said painting 0*\ .....if there is not another group arriving 0-

Then there's always that one person who is at least 6 feet tall and will stand in front of a painting for 10 minutes, making it impossible to see it properly or get a photo! O** lol

I seem to recall one not being allowed to take photos at most museums/art galleries O**
