Privatization of Activities in Kruger Park

Post by Richprins »

At the Tourism Summit SANParks also indicated that the following services/activities would be outsourced to PPPs (Private operators):

morning drives
day walks
mountain biking
bird talks

Possibly also:

wilderness trails
backpacking trails
eco-trails
Skukuza Golf Club

Probably too many complaints about their guides being drivers instead of true guides...

From the pdf it seems its not just morning drives but sunset and night drives as well

I think they want to outsource all drives eventually? And maybe no self-drive in the South to start with!

Surely there will be job-losses re SANParks in the end? -O-

Surely the public also has the right to know exactly how much money is involved in every instance, as it is our property that is being used and bartered? (0!)
