New Fun (???): Electric Vehicles on Kingfisher Trail

Post by Toko »

Media Release
Date: 4th February 2015

Visitors to the Ebb & Flow rest camp (Wilderness section of the Garden Route National Park) can now traverse the Kingfisher Trail on a Segway.

As the Segways tours, which had been introduced in the Tsitsikamma Section of the park two years ago, had become such a popular activity, it was also launched in Wilderness three days ago. This fun-filled journey, meanders through pristine fynbos and past wetlands in the Park. ‘Visitors to the Park get to experience our natural resources in a unique way. Expect the fresh smells of fynbos and the magic of the birdlife congregating in the wetlands’ explain Andre and Michelle Kruger of Segway Tours.

Sandra Taljaard, Area Manager of Wilderness’ take on this new product is that "this is an exciting activity for diverse visitors to the Park, including the young, the old as well as those who are physically challenged." She adds that what Segway Tours brings to the Park is a product range that aligns well with the Park’s new slogan ‘Adventure is in our Nature.’

Segways, canoeing, trails and nature walks all attract visitors to the Park’s breathtaking beauty. The benefit also lies in encouraging a healthy lifestyle through nature products.

For this upcoming Valentine’s Day:

There is a 25% discount available on accommodation in the Wilderness Section, Ebb and Flow Rest Camp from 12 to 15 February 2015.
