Yes, Lis. They have morning and afternoon sessions, then they can drive around in between! \O

When the bookings opened on 16 January 2019 the whole of stormsrivier mouth we’re fully booked out from 15 - 31 December 2019.

A month later and plenty accommodation came available again. So now my question.....

Is it travel agencies that book everything up and then release it when nobody books it from them at ridiculous prices or is it the normal Joe from the street that books it and then realize he can’t afford it -O-

They just makes it difficult for others to book. I have managed to book 6 nights so far O/\

Next trip to the bush??

Let me think......................

If it is a month after opening then it is Joe soap and this is when deposit is due for people who phoned.

So why do they book everything up if they know they won’t pay the deposit O/

They book with intention and then make other plans or forget to pay deposit. Why are you staying in units and not camping?

Have you seen the camping area at Stormsrivier mouth -O-

There’s no trees for shade........

You are exposed to the sun all day long....

You are exposed to the wind coming from the ocean..

Usually it rains most of the time ....

It must be the worst camping area in our whole country

Storms River Camping is the BEST ..Garden Route camping is awesome ..It doesnt rain all the time ..There is a major Drought there now ..You just choose the season properly ie Feb to May..Those camp sites facing the ocean are ICONIC and probably the best situated in SA bar none ..We hardly ever camp under trees as our Trailer is cool and less mess from birds etc ..and the tent and awnings provide plenty shade..The ONLY thing wrong with Storms River camping is that it is SANParks so I cant take my Border Collie so we go to Yellow Sands instead at the moment ..she spends enough time staying in Kennels when we go to Kruger & Kgalagadi ..The sea she comes with ..The hutted accommodation at Storms River cant shape up to the camping there...Staying at the Ocean ANYWHERE in SA in Dec ..= WIND..Rather go in April School Hols to the Coast

Be careful not to get the accommodations in the back, towards the wood and hill. They are/were old and humid. IMO the nicest ones are 16A, 16B and 17. In any case far from the parking space. Over the weekend it is terrible 0*\
