Tshokwane & Afsaal Kitchens Temporarily Closed

Post by Flutterby »

The kitchen facility service at Tshokwane and Afsaal Picnic Spots in the Kruger National Park (KNP) will temporarily be suspended due to renovation work taking place as from 26 May 2016 until further notice.

“Temporary facilities for guests at both picnic spots have been made available for them to buy basic necessities and we would like to request everybody to bear with us during the renovation period”, said KNP’s GM: Marula Region, Lucy Nhlapo.

Necessities will be available as follows:
•Tshokwane – the old curio shop near the kitchen under renovation will serve as a temporary tuck shop providing basics such as pap, Sheba and wors, tea/coffee, water, soft drinks and snacks. Gas skottel (mobile frying pan on stand) for braai will be available for hire.
•Afsaal – Tindlovu restaurants’ Boskombuis will provide the basic items normally provided by Afsaal during the temporary suspension. Gas skottel hire will be available as well.

They obviously don't care about the revenue they will loose during this peak holiday season. They will make that loss up when the hotel opens up O**

Yeah but it will be a temporary setup with less variety. Have you been to Kruger during July school holidays -O-

Believe me every camp, picnic area are very busy and if i need to stand outside in the cold or sun because I'm number 20 in line i would rather just leave it
