Kruger Diary 2012

Post by Bush Brat »

Well the time has come to start another TT, but it is a bit pointless for my mom to do a TT and then I do the exact same thing just with slightly different pics, so based on that I have decided to change it up a little! 0()
On all of our trips to Kruger I bring a little diary that I record all the animals seen that day in plus the spot and spotter of the day, highlight of the day, routes taken, temperature, mileage for the day etc. This got me thinking - why not do the exact same thing, but on my computer. :-? ;-)
So here goes.........

27/09/2012 - Joburg to Letaba

Temp. : 8°C - 37°C
Day's Mileage : 698km's

Waterhole Visited : Nyamundwa, Mazithi, Kumana
Picnic Sites Visited : Tshokwane
Camps Visited : Satara

Morning Route : Joburg - Phabeni - S1 - H4-1 - H1-2 - H1-3 - Letaba
Afternoon Route : Letaba - H1-6 - Letaba

Left Joburg at : 12:10am
Got to camp at : 05:53pm

Animals Seen

Baboon
Bat
Buffs
Galago Bushbaby
Bushbuck
Crocodile
Ellies
Giraffe
Scrub Hare
Hyena
Hippo
Black - backed jackal
Impala
Klipspringer
Kudu
Leopard
Lion
Vervet Monkey
White Rhino
Squirell
Steenbok
Warthog
Waterbuck
Wildebeest
Zebra

Will indulge you with pics, spot and spotter of the day, highlight of day etc in my next installment! 0() ;-)

Dewi, I am very pleased to report that the Brat is starting to take an interest in the birdies...he even made us stop a couple of time for the ones I'd missed! \O

This TT seems to be good fun :-) Looking forward to the 'spotter of the day' category!
It seems that somebody already spotted quite well after the long drive from Joburg ;-)
Good to hear you get interested in birds, that makes Kruger even more interesting \O

Show respect for wild creatures. DON'T report your actual sightings on the internet!!!
