At the outset I apologise for the quality of these photos as they were originally on an 8 mm movie film that was converted to a DVD. This DVD was then downloaded onto my laptop so that I could edit the video accordingly. As I have not yet learnt how to download video onto this thread I used Windows Movie Maker to take snapshots of certain frames from the movie to use on this T.R. I am also embarassed to say that I do not which photos are from 1977 and 1979 as both movies were spilced onto the same reel without marking them accordingly.
Well here goes.
Not sure what camp gate this is?
An Albino giraffe.
A waterbuck.
A lioness.
A cheetah.
Letaba Camp gates.
Another cheetah.
Hippo
Aat tells me this is Letaba 1.
More photos to be posted later.
Cheers for now.

Re: Snapshots from 8mm of August 1977 to May 1979 trips
Ahhh! Takes me back to my prepubescent years!
Fascinating stuff, STF!
I think that first camp gate is Punda Maria in the Far North of the Park, and the second gate may be Olifants Camp in its infancy, or otherwise Letaba as you say!
Where are the oldies when you need them!? //\0--
Excellent!

P.N., FB, RP, Sprocky and B.C. - Thanks very much for your comments.
This guy chased us back down the road for about 1km.
Another elephant that scared the pants off us.
Cheetah in riverbed.
Hippo having a good yawn.
My best shot of a sable.
Another pic of Letaba 1.
Secretary Bird.
Some more sable.
Another big elephant.
Tired lions.
Yet another pic of Letaba 1. All taken on different days.
That is all I have. Thanks so much to all those mites that have viewed these pics and made comments. It is appreciated.

Thanks very much for sending Letaba I pictures, just updated his page at the Tusker Site
Original official info was that Letaba I was recorded first in 1979 but you your material proofs that you were the first one who recorded him in 1977 !!
Great added value and it confirms me that in older albums and films there must be more interesting material about the tuskers!!!
