(Please see the below link for the video footage) If ever you found yourself wondering how animals in Africa would perform a caesarean then you probably have the wrong idea in your head. If you think they wear white coats and operate with surgical instruments in a sterile theatre then forget it. It was midday when the actioned happened. Three male lions had taken down a female buffalo right next to the road at a watering hole. The lions ate out the chest of the buffalo and then proceeded to get stuck into the bottom bits. And then the surgery took place, the male lion pulled out an entire unborn foetus and carried it to a nearby bush where he ate it.
