Re: Rayb Kruger Travel Tale, Not...or Maybe
We located Rayb's house at Lower Sabie...as usual they weren't there, so Gump (who was by now a bit "impish") lifted up his windscreen wipers and left a beer on his bonnet, and we went to our own accommodation - two EH1 units which were a real bargain and adjacent but snoreproof!
And went back. Here is Gump doing the preparations, with the wall used for shooting poachers in the background:
Ray and Margaret duly arrived and Ray drank his bonnet beer. He is about 90 years old and in superb condition - a swimming type, don't you know!
The sun eventually set, and a visitor arrived:

Re: Rayb Kruger Travel Tale, Not...or Maybe
In the background are two Oryx beers that Ray had brought for Bees (they were very disappointed that he wasn't there as they adore him for some reason, maybe because he can barely speak English?). So Gump got the beers.
Here is Ray being rakish.
This time it was Ray's challenge to make pap for the first time, and we had great fun messing up the kitchen while the women chatted outside!
The evening was EXTREMELY pleasant, with the result that we forgot about warming the sheba until everything else was ready, so Gump had to put the meat back on the fire in a bak, which worked fine.
We also eventually noticed that the price sticker was still on the SANParks spoon, but I suppose there are worse disasters in life!
Here is Gump jealously pulling in his tummy!

Re: Rayb Kruger Travel Tale, Not...or Maybe
We said our farewells and slept like babies!
Next morning we had Mugg&Bean breakfast - my first restaurant visit in a decade!
It is marvelous there, I must say, with good service and magic ambience. Things did go a bit haywire as Gump ordered while I went back to the car for binocs and Marmite. When I came back he went walkabout, then the order arrived, which appeared to be bread and marshmallows in one plate, and a huge bowl of salad.
I was about to have a good old AW hysterical fit when I realised the bread was pre-buttered toast, and the marshmallows were in fact some kind of poached egg! Gump also returned and confirmed he had ordered a Monte Cristo Salad, which he feels is breakfast because it has bacon.
All was delicious!
Gump went shopping for some reason and I went back to the car to wait, and decided to hide the new bakkie!
Heeh heeh! I parked under a tree in the farthest corner of the huge parking lot, next to a family who were sorting their packing out and thought I was an idiot for giggling and hiding.
Here is Bigfoot wondering where his car is!
Off we went down to Croc....an animal pic!

Hasn't Gump lost a bit of weight?
Ray is not ninety, but maybe seventy
Hiding the car! Did you have fun?
That's a lot of spread out buffalos
