Day 10, Wednesday June 12, Twee Rivieren.

This morning we drove up the Auob river road to the Museum picnic spot then back to TR.

At one of the view points I took a sequence of pictures and made them into a panorama

A Tawny Eagle that took off when I was paying attention

Brindled Gnus

And a mob of Suricates that we watched for quite a while

The Suricates were immensely entertaining, I've never seen them that close before - very busy little creatures!

Not the Museum lookout, that was further north - I think the water tank is Montrose water hole but I might be wrong!

The one with sand all over is one of my favourites too - the next shot in the series is that one shaking the sand off!

Birds always take off before I'm ready, when I look away for some reason or if I need to adjust the camera settings. This was one of the few times that didn't happen :-)

Geeeeeez, those meerkats are cute - I want one (or more)
And how fluffy they are in winter! Really adds to their appearance. O:V

I think, I should stay clear of your TT - it's making me go homesick...
Dunno, how I'm supposed to live through 2014 when I only get to go
in December. And not even sure yet, if it will be KTP O-/ O-/ O-/
Ramblerambleramble, what I wanted to say is, that I like your Panorama shot a lot ^Q^

God put me on earth to accomplish a certain amount of things. Right now I'm so far behind that I'll never die.

Hi Mel, sorry this is making you homesick............ NOT! =O: ;-)

December 2014 is a long way off but the time will pass!

The Suricates were wonderful to watch but difficult to chose which ones to take pictures of as they were all doing something all of the time! It seemed to me that most of the animals in KTP were more active than their equivalents in the Kruger, perhaps they have to work harder to survive.

The panorama, as nice as it is, does not do the view justice!

Ah, Munro, yes, I did see a Black Headed Heron in that region but the pics didn't come out very well.
