The Kgalagadi is prime Lion Country and Rooiputs for me is the Lion Capital of that area. This is the Matriarch of the local Pride who defends her pride hard against outside Males and other dangers..What a strong character

The sandgrouse and doves have to run the gauntlet every morning when they arrive for a drink at the windmills ..Usually there is a pair of lanners waiting for them

Dalkeith waterhole WELL before sunrise ..poor camera could only manage 1/80th Sec in the gloom ..but this little guy had to have an early morning drink right next to my Bakkie
