I like to use a recipe that has been passed down for many generations -- it contains meat O**

Neither have I Lis -- why should there be a recipe of how to make a fire and braaing meat over it -O-

There are of course people around who have great difficulty in just boiling water 0*\

There's a Boerewors Braai Pie! :shock:

Hey, have you ever done a beer braai? Used to be the rage years back, where you fill the braaier with dry ice and turn your beers until cold! :twisted:

They are quite popular here.
It's a braai (bbq) starter.
A metal circular tube with a mesh/grill at the bottom and a handle
You put the starter at the bottom. And then fill up with charcoal. You light it through the grill at the bottom.
The shape causes some sort of convection effect that lights all the charcoal very quickly, and once it's all burning nicely you pour it into the braai.
Supposed to be a lot quicker than just sommer lighting the braai. Or so I am told.....I don't own one. O**
