This trip was unplanned but very nice and a first trip to Addo for me and Bookworm
The photos was 80% Bookworm and 20% me
After leaving home at 22:30 on 5 November and driving in the rain from Kroonstad to Cradock I arrived at 7:50 in Cradock and waited for Bookworm and mom to arive
Just have to add....I wish I had a camera to take pics of the lightning near Kroonstad and Bloemfontein, it was really something awesome to see
We had a nice breakfast at Wimpy and then Alet left for home and we left for Addo. We booked in at Addo with no hassles and I passed out on my stretcher in the tent, while Anja kept herself busy with her phone.
Photos of our drive to follow

Harry if I had known you were heading this way I would have made a plan to get to the park to say hi! Looking forward to hearing all about your visit...

God put me on earth to accomplish a certain amount of things. Right now I'm so far behind that I'll never die.

That would have been nice, but I didn't even know I was going till that Friday and then I had to negotiate to borrow Jenine's Micra to drive to Cradock and beg at work for emergency leave ....maybe next timePJL wrote:Harry if I had known you were heading this way I would have made a plan to get to the park to say hi! Re: Unplanned Addo trippie
After we booked in and setup camp and before I passed out I heard this loud mouth oom telling everyone who was near that there was a Cheetah kill on the way to Domkrag dam .....so of we went and not far in there they where with a nice Kudu for lunch
This Bokmakierie(lifer) also checked the Cheetahs out
It became very crowded so we decided to go to the dam
Kudu
Duck...I think
And just before I got very tired.....2 headless Spoonbills(lifer)
I got really tired and we decided to go and rest for the late afternoon trip
