Ellie's galore and more! (May 2017)

Post by All-Nature »

So we find ourselves making our way up to the Eastern Cape.
More specifically a citrus farm in the Summerville district, situated along the Sundays River.
We had opted to stay there as the accommodation was so much cheaper than at Addo O** and we would still be able to do daily trips into Addo.
It is really a beautiful place, perfect to relax and unwind. O:V
The reception we received on arrival was first class, warm hospitality and friendly, we felt as if we had known Vanessa at reception, all our lives. O0
Was a great choice and loved staying there!
Next time we will opt for the level accommodation, as the stairs at ours was rather steep. O-/

As we were travelling along I first needed some photos of this quaint coffee shop, love these little places one finds in the “platteland”/country! O/\

Citrus trees along the way

Our home away from home for the following 6 nights

View from the deck, where we could just chill and relax and watch the world go by.

Prolific bird life too ;-)
Great entertainment for the kids as well where they can let of steam

Part of the beautiful gardens and other accommodation available

It is really very pretty there. Lots of activities for children as well to keep them entertained.
One is also allowed to go on the Sunday’s River on their canoes. O/\

Found these mushrooms growing on the trunk of this tree
I don’t think they are edible O-/ …did not try them to find out! lol

There are also Dassies in the gardens, skittish, but too adorable. O\/

Yah, the Sanparks have become too expensive  We will be doing the same when we go to Kruger in February . The only handicap is that one cannot go further than a days drive. Addo is so much smaller and it is a good solution \O

Looks like a lovely garden and very quiet O:V O:V
