Re: AW Forum Update-2018
First, I want to thank Roger for his incredible work on behalf of this forum!!! I can't even begin to imagine all the details involved in such a massive undertaking. THANK YOU
My question is - can past "guests" access the new site readily/easily? I ask because there is now an unusually LOW number of guests on the site at any given time - say 1-4 now versus 20-30 previously.
Just an observation that there is far less traffic now - perhaps because the old links don't work???? Anyway, just wondering.

Re: AW Forum Update-2018
Roger will say, Ex, but I think it takes time for us to show up "early" on google as a new forum now.
Here is a sagr entry, for example, and guests may not bother to go further on the link: https://www.google.co.za/search?q=selat ... 66&bih=694
So we need to post like crazy!

Re: AW Forum Update-2018
R.P is right it will take time for the search engines to adjust to the new site over the old one but they are gradually changing the links to the new one when I had a look now
Re: AW Forum Update-2018
I have issues with not being able to see photos if I'm not logged in.
Ex. - Fl. of the month - Sunset Dam
RP's pic (s.jpg) says " you do not have the required permissions......blah, blah), as well as my own post in the "Tourists are staying away...due to protests" topic where I posted a pic of a hyena - just shows the hyena.jpg - can't even see my own post.
Thank you

BUMP my previous post -
Just checked again, JIC, and I can see it when I'm logged in, but still not when I'm not.
This might dissuade non-members from using the site if they cannot view the photos
Again, Roger you are a star here, and sincere thanks for all your hard work - 99% of which we peons have NO idea
