Re: Our Pilanesberg Adventures
More beach scenes.
A lady bowing to the king.
Lord and protector.
"Don't you dare look at her!"
This ellie appeared out of nowhere and gave us quite a fright as we couldn't move anywhere! Luckily he walked straight past us.
It wasn't only lions enjoying the beach.
Some cuties.
And our last sighting for the trip.
Till next time.

Ja Lis, not bad for just two days. I actually used the Brat's lens on this trip just to try it out...well spotted. Even though it's a better lens than mine, I'm so used to how mine works that I feel more comfortable with it.

Thanks Flutterby,
as always and amazing trip you had with some more than incredible sightings - Love the wallowing rhino and the complete beach visitors from lions, ellies and hippos and that very last shot is stunning.

What a lot of activity at the water...a good conservation success story this place, built from nothing!
Great stuff, thanks, Flutts!

Yep, a few years ago we thought the park and animals were in a bad state, but it's doing great now!Richprins wrote:What a lot of activity at the water...a good conservation success story this place, built from nothing!

Re: Our Pilanesberg Adventures
We just spent two nights at Sun City and managed to get a few hours in the park. We drove up on Wednesday afternoon and decided to drive through the park to get to Sun City so we entered at Manyane Gate.
The bush is extremely green on the way to Sun City and in the park.
My first pic in the park - A Little Grebe.
This zebra was enjoying the lush, green grass.
A very sweet scene of a young rhino "kissing" mom.
