Barn owls.
Approximately 11km from Twee Rivieren, on the Nossob:

Giant Eagle Owl (or Verraux, if you want to be PC), with what I think is an immature Pale Chanting Goshawk.
Approximately 2km south of Kij Kij

Wonderful owls! :-0 And I must take note of the distance from Twee for the barn owls. Im pretty sure I saw one of the parents before
but couldn't remember where exactly. And definitely not as visible as you did :-0

Agree on the PCG and am just as stunned as Lis. Hunted down itself or picked up from somewhere :-?

Mel, there is a road sign stating that you are 10 km from Twee Rivieren. As you pass this, going in the opposite direction, there is quite a long stretch where the road is dead straight. Close to the end of this straight section, there is a large Communal Weaver's nest on the right-hand side. The nest is in the bottom of this, facing the road.
