Hi guys,
Due to the fact that the Swaziland officials are now full of it, many from KZN have to shop in Komatipoort, so if anyone has advice on where to shop for meat please help.
I tried the Spar a few months ago and the meat was “colourful “, so any help would be appreciated.
I need meat/chicken/bacon/etc for 5 for 8 days, as we braai every day.

As for the shops that you mentioned, Phalaborwa has all four, belive it or not.
For convenience coming out of the park, Spar is the easiest, but not the cheapest. They also have good meat, but then you probably will get slightly better prices and quality at a butcher in town. They also have a bottle store, these prices are quite good.
If you want to go on a sight seeing trip in town it might be worth it to shop around, otherwise I would stick to Spar.
Let me know when you will be here, maybe I can meet up with you and show you around.
Sometimes it’s not until you don’t see what you want to see, that you truly open your eyes.

Re: Advice on the North
Thanks for the welcomes and all the advice Glad to hear Phala has shops - was thinking maybe a 7/11 or something but wow the town is advanced All four biggies to shop - what a pleasure - thanks Sprocky. Started my shopping here and the first thing I did was stock up on all the liquids at Makro so we are well stocked and prepared for Kruger in winter. I mean Makro sells water at about R2.33 a 500 ml bottle and what do you pay for it inside? R8.00? The prices on the rest of the shopping list wasn't bad either. How can you have sunset at Mopani without Amarula? A loong wait now for the 19th July but not as bad as it was when we first did our bookings! Most of you know me as spaniel but I have had a methamorphosis and became a bird - so much easier to hop around the posts now
