I saw Nan's pic and commented on it as it looked at bit too "constructed" for a camping site..... As always they are far ahead of reality, but they will have to make the tar road before they can get the visitors......especially at that price. What about the Nossob air stripe that was already planned? it is much closer than Uppington O** (0)

Lisbeth,

There is an airstrip at Two Rivers 25 km from Rooiputs already which guest will most likely use. At Union Ends, but in Namibia you can also land a small aircraft as well as in Nossob. Nossob is not open to the public while Two rivers can be used.

I've got a few pics from Ta-Shebube's Facebook page. Its similar to the current wilderness camps, with the units a bit closer nearly like Bitterpan. We will be camping for the first time at Rooiputs and Polentswa campsites in Dec and will be able to take some of my own pics and give feedback on the experience. If I can get a sponsorship from AW I can give appropriate feedback on how its like to stay there. =O: =O: =O: O** O**

We've just been through the Kgalagadi - entered at Kaa Gate and spend one night each camping at Kaa, Nossob and Twee Rivieren.

The new lodges are built by the Botswana Wildlife and Parks Board and not SANParks. According to my information they could not find water at/near Union's End and are not going ahead with that development.

I agree with all said and would have preferred just a slight upgrading of the present camps - but money talks!

Welcome to the forums, Pieter 0/*

And thanks so much for the great news. I'm more than happy to hear that UE will not be built. ^Q^

Yet tashebube still advertises that camp. -O- See website: http://tashebube.com/our-sites/
