SANParks needs a real big wake-up call, but I am afraid it is too late for them to save face.

This is why I WILL NOT spend one cent on accommodation in Kruger!! Get your flagship park in order Mabunda!!! 0=
Yeah I bring my own bed and food and everything ...they must just give me space to park

The one manager is now at another camp, which is a bit frustrating, but reforwarded Saturday. O**

My scariest concern was the lawns, which were dead.

I don't know if LS had a water problem besides flooding, but the lawns have been in pristine lush condition since time immemorial, I have been lying on them for decades!

You can see them being watered by sprinkler...but too late in the season? -O- -O- -O-

Also a broken-off TP dispenser in the very expensive unit ...78 :-(

Also rotten-off switch-handles on the hotplate at the unit, so temperature control was guesswork! O/

Richprins, who can I contact to complain about amenities at Mopanie? Have just returned from Kruger with overseas guests and we specifically booked at Mopanie because the guest cottages have stoves and guess in what condition the stove was?? O/

We stayed in Bungalow 107 at Olifants on 14 August 2013. This is a BD3UZ unit for the mobility challenged. It's a lovely perimeter unit but the bathroom needs a lot of attention.

Image

Obviously, being for the mobility challenged there is no "lip" around the shower so that wheelchairs can be wheeled in, but this means that water does tend to go all over the bathroom floor. The broken shower head didn't help.

Image

This is one of those shower heads that can also be handheld, but the first time my dad used the shower the top part of the bracket came away from the wall and sprayed water everywhere. He did not break it, it was already like that....it had just been balanced in place so it looked like it wasn't broken. You could not use the shower as a conventional shower, you had to hold the shower head.

Image

The towel rail was also balanced in position and the first time we put a towel on it, it fell. This towel rail is close to the toilet and I would hate to think what would happen if a handicapped person tried to use that rail to help themselves up!!

Image

This unit cost R1200 for the night, but these stupid things, which would probably take minutes to fix, are ignored which ruins what would otherwise be a perfect stay!

I would have ripped the shower head and towel rail out and taken it to reception!
