Is it true that scrupulous people can "pinch" photos from sites such as SAGR , Facebook etc etc.?
If it is then can anyone tell me how to put my signature on my photos.
I know some folk do not like doing it as it spoils the photo but one does need to protect photos.
I have also heard that if you downsize your photo this will prevent other people from "pinching" them.
Any comments or advice?

Uff, I haven't got the faintest clue about that sort of thing, I will have to admit
(Neither how to put a signature, nor the fact whether the pic then is unprotected or not)
But I downsize all my photos before uploading - even when I use Photobucket.
And if it's only for the reason that the pix will upload faster.

Hi STF...I put signatures on my pics using a photo editing site called PicMonkey.
It is quite a long process because you have to upload each photo individually, then go to the "P" on the left hand side of the website and it gives you a whole lot of fonts to write in (some cannot be used because you have to be a member which costs). Once you chose your font you can write whatever you want, move it wherever you want and make it whatever size you want. Then it gives you the option to save the pic, at the top of the website.
I think watermarks are better though because they cannot be removed by someone who wants to use your pics...but I don't know how to put watermarks on. Maybe Sprocky can help you out.

I only know how to do it using PhotoShop, but STF hasn't got PhotoShop.

Coming to think of it - one could do it with Microsoft Paint.
But that'll be a painful process as you would have to add
a textbox on each picture and put your signature into it.

That's why I don't bother...too much work! -O
stf... there is a program you can download for free called Bordermaker which allows you to add borders and watermarks to your pics. I think you have to first design the watermark and save it, then add it into Bordermaker...something like that.

Thanks very much everyone for the comments and suggestions.
My cousin sent me free software called "Copyrightleft" but I just cannot get it to work.
I will have a look at PicMonkey and Bordermaker and see if I get any success.

I think Bordermaker is better, as you don't have to upload each pic...just download the app onto your PC and then you can go mad.
