Hi STF,

Just to show you how easy it is to "steal" and change photos. (Hope you don't mind for the example).

Image

When you post a pic on the internet, be prepared for them to be used by others, because some will. I personally have no issues if someone wants to copy mine for educational reasons or just to use for comparison - i.e. animal identification, bird id's etc. If you post your pics small as you have, there is not a lot anyone can do with them apart from re use on the interned e.g. advertising.

After resizing, save the pics at a lower resolution than just hitting save - 50% or medium comes up on most editors. Even lower if you prefer.

I use Photocleaner to add my name. Quick and easy. \O But you do have to load one pic at a time.

Wow Dewi, this is scary.

I have some photos coming up on my T.T. that I would not like for other people to steal but I do so want to share them as part of my T.T..

I think I will downsize them to 640 which will be about 250kb and then take a chance and share them.

If anyone wants to use my pictures all they have to do is ask and I will grant permission - no problem.

I will try and download Flutterbys BorderMaker and your Photocleaner and then see which works best.

Thanks for the advice.

But copy them before downsizing - otherwise you can't do anything with them yourself anymore either.
I always create a new folder where I keep my TT photos. That's also quite helpful if the links get fiddled
with and the pic disappears from your TT. Lots of work can be safe when replacing them like that. \O

Thanks Mel. I have done that and more so no matter what I will always have the original photo on Lightroom.

Hi PRWIN. I am using Lightroom 4 but only for the very basics i.e exposure, clarity etc etc...

Great then its easy as having a Castle with the sun setting next to a river in the bush looking at the sun going down with the elephants coming in to drink.

Here we go

Open Lightroom
Choose a photo in library
open it develop setting
In develop setting open the edit button top left
In edit drop down you will see Edit Watermark at the bottom of the drop down
Open edit watermark
Check to see if custom setting is showing in the watermark box at the top left
Below the photo bottom left you should see a blank box, type your name or what ever into this box
Right of the picture you will se a lot of different settings
Top you will see watermark style text or graphic, choose text
Text Options
Opacity - This will fade the writing you wrote as you move the slider from 100% down to 0%
Size button - this will make the writing bigger or smaller as you move the slider, but make sure the fit or fill buttons have not been chosen
Anchor
There are 9 buttons, each button will place the writing in different position on the photo as per button position

Good luck it's easy :-) :-) \O
