They actually look like creatures from another world.

Just goes to show how macro photography can take to another level.

Thanks for the nice replies. Macro happens to be my favorite, as I have been fascinated by insects from the time I was knee-high to a grasshopper :-). No matter if you love large animals, birds, fish, insects, etc. they ALL have amazing habits and life stories. I use the pics to try and learn something about each one, and I am constantly "wowed".

Keep on posting, guys 'n gals. It's a whole new frontier for many people. \O

Till now I only found one really colourful bug

and this dragonfly flew right onto my knee and was watching me :shock: , nearly got a cramp as I didn't wanted to move the leg.

I'm no expert, I've only been doing this for less than a year. I don't see anywhere I can help you to improve, you seem to be doing all the things I am doing. Just keep trying, practice makes perfect they say!

I want some tips from ExFmem! Those last three pics were stunners!
