There is no doubt that this is a tawny eagle -O
I am not too sure about this one though -O
Re colours.....there are blondes ( various shades ), red-heads, brown, black and all the in betweens, not to talk about the meshes
.....why should the birds be different? I must ask Darwin!

This one was seen just outside Olifants Camp. He was eating something on the ground and as we drove past he flew into a tree just alongside the road. You can see the crop from the feeding
Crop
When birds swallow their food it enters a specialized storage chamber known as the crop. The crop (or proventriculus in birds without a crop) softens the food and controls its passage through the digestive tract. This storage capacity allows birds to swallow much more food than they would otherwise be able to in one sitting. A raptor's crop is sometimes so large that it appears as a bulbous growth on its neck. The crop also allows adults to carry food back to their nest for their chicks
